Since our founding in 2009, The Assistance Fund has helped nearly 125,000 children and adults access the treatment they need to stay healthy or manage a life-threatening, chronic, or rare disease. Topics:
1. “Beginning the Caregiving Journey-the First 10 steps” is 55 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for questions and answers.
2. “The Aging of Greater Cleveland-You Might just be surprised” is 20-30 minutes long. The content is based on the upcoming projections based on the 2030 census. There will be a significant impact on the way we live our lives. We know that there will be more people over age 60 than under age 18 for the first time in history. Over half of all individuals will be over age 50 and half of them will be caregivers. In reality, there are 11 areas of the country where this is already happening today. Cuyahoga County is one of them.
It is designed for someone who is a caregiver to an older loved one or adult child.
